Alert Description

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Seward * WHEN...From Monday evening through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Isolated landslides possible in areas of steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An atmospheric river of moisture moving over the southern Kenai Peninsula will result in moderate to heavy rain for Seward late Monday night through Thursday morning. Light rain will move into the eastern Kenai Peninsula by Monday afternoon with heavier rain beginning Monday night. A total of 2 to 4 inches of rain is likely (70-80%) with a low chance (20%) of greater than 5 inches of rain for this event. - Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
