* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of northwest North Carolina, including the following areas, Alleghany NC and Ashe, southwest Virginia, including the following areas, Bland, Carroll, Giles, Grayson, Pulaski, Smyth, Tazewell and Wythe, and southeast West Virginia, including the following area, Mercer. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flash flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms along a stalled front are expected to result in repeat heavy rainfall this afternoon and evening. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
