Tangipahoa River Near Robert affecting Tangipahoa Parish. For the Tangipahoa River...including Osyka, Kentwood, Tangi. River near Tickfaw, Amite, Robert...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Tangipahoa River at Osyka. * WHEN...From this evening to Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 18.7 feet, Flood of Record occurred on April 28, 1997. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 9.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening and continue rising to a crest of 17.0 feet tomorrow morning.
