...The National Weather Service in Birmingham AL has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Alabama... Sucarnoochee River At Livingston affecting Sumter County. .Heavy rainfall this morning over the Sucarnoochee River basin is causing rapid rises along the Sucarnoochee and a flood warning is now in effect. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sucarnoochee River at Livingston. * WHEN...From Friday afternoon to early Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flooding of farm lands around Livingston occurs. At 21.0 feet, Overflow of low-lying agricultural lands increases. Cattle and farm equipment should be moved to higher ground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.9 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 18.4 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning to 8.9 feet early Monday afternoon. It will rise to 9.0 feet early Tuesday morning. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
