...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED IN THE SOUTHERN WILLAMETTE VALLEY MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING DUE TO DRY CONDITIONS AND NORTHERLY WINDS UP TO 25 MPH... ...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS POSSIBLE IN THE WESTERN COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING DUE TO DRY CONDITIONS AND INCREASING EASTERLY WINDS... The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...In Washington, Fire Weather Zone 636 Western Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and Washington. * WINDS...East 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 to 20 percent. * IMPACTS...Conditions may be favorable for rapid fire spread which may threaten life and property. Use extra caution with potential ignition sources, especially in grassy areas. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
